Last week I spent in the south of Belgium. For the first time I went camping with two of my best friends. It was a great time to unplug. Not being able to check your email or social media for a week can really clear your mind. We went hiking, kayaking and explored some cities around la Roche-en-Ardenne where we were staying. Making dinner on a little gas fire under the pine trees with a clear sky and good company, what more could I've wished for.
La Roche-en-Ardenne is a small town in the south of Belgium build in a valley around the main river, the Ourthe. It started as a main trading point in that area and in the meanwhile it has transformed into a calm retreat for tourists from all over. You can feel its history all around you and I forgot I was in my own country for most of the trip. It almost feels like a small town in the south of France.
